Tinnitus:

Acupuncture may provide rapid and lasting results for tinnitus and ringing of the ears

Tinnitus symptoms include a variety of phantom noises in the ears, including: buzzing, ringing, hissing, clicking, etc.  These symptoms my be triggered by certain environmental conditions or sometimes occur continuously with no known triggers.

Some of the most common causes of tinnitus include:
  • Injury to the ear including physical trauma or loud noise
  • Muscular imbalance of the neck or jaw
  • Vascular disorder
  • Age-related hearing loss
Acupuncture is often effective for the treatment of tinnitus and generally much safer than other methods of treatment.

Note:
------------------
Tinnitus patients mostly can be grouped into Kidney Difficiency and Blood Stagnation.
For Kidney Difficiency, I prefer to combine acupuncture with herbs. For Blood Stagnation, I generally just use acupuncture to remove stagnation to control pain.

I prefer to use Meridiam points: Ting Gong, Ting Hui, ERMen, Yifeng, plus other points derived from pattern differentiation.
