Neurological disorder: Occipital lobe seizures

Occipital lobe seizures can be triggered by flickering lights, rapid blinking or a visual image that contains multiple colors. They are often confused for migraines due to similar symptoms including visual disturbances, nausea and vomiting as well as headaches. Treatment usually involves anticonvulsants such as carbamazebine. Other cases can consider surgical options.

So far acupuncture treatment is not cure for this condition. However, acupuncture can reduce the frequency and severity of condition. Points can be selected along the scalp GB points.
