Meralgia paresthetica or Bernhardt-Roth syndrome

Meralgia paresthetica is a condition characterized by tingling, numbness and burning pain in the outer part of your thigh. The condition is caused by compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, which supplies sensation to your upper leg.

Conventional medicine uses cortisone injection at the point where the nerve crosses the crease in the groin. Or pain killer medications or surgery.

Acupuncture can be helpful to address the local numbness and pain and also help body healing.
